Lucia at 9 months: small but mighty

Dear Lucia,

Happy 9 months!  Today at your 9 month checkup (here is a picture of you and H happily entertained while waiting for the Doc), you officially reached little nugget status: you are in the 1 percentile for height, and the 13th for weight.  Please don't worry your beautiful little peach fuzz head about it though (your cranium follows a different sizing trend, in the 69th percentile)...for as the doctor said, you are small but mighty!  

This month you are on the move: not quite crawling, but reaching out for everything in sight and managing to scoot your body to whatever catches your eye.  

It seems as though you have your brother wrapped around your finger already as he eagerly brings you "baby toys" to play with, and he loves to make you laugh.

This month we discovered how much you love to swing,

dig in the sand,

picnic with your brother,

spend quality time with Max,

and visit the zoo.

You are such a sweet presence, 

with a mighty set of lungs,

and endless curiosity.

We love you and are so happy to get to spend our days with you.
