Dogmalates

This week Harrison and I went to our first Mamalates class (www.mamalates.com) ... basically pilates with your little one in tow. I had a wonderful time stretching out, Harrison giggled through the entire class, and we met a few other wonderful babes.

While practicing some new moves at home, Max decided he wanted to change the name from mamalates to dogmalates...see photo below. He was so intrigued by Harrison's laughter and my downward dogs that he had to join in.

Harrison at 4 months...

People tell us they grow up so fast...and it couldn't be more true. Seeing our friend's beautiful newborn this week (Ava Jane McMahon) reminded me of a much smaller Harrison just months ago and I am amazed at how quickly he is moving from infant to little boy.

Harrison has officially moved into his own room and is enjoying sleeping (or playing while he should be sleeping) in his cozy crib, talking to the paintings on the wall, and orchestrating a new playgroup of stuffed animals and toys.

Our little guy now loves sitting upright in his Bumbo chair and chewing on everything within reach (his favorite partner in crime is Sophie the giraffe).

He is also rather fond of standing...


...and is in training to be a French sommelier, saying things such as "ahhh, I just love the floral bouquet on this Cabernet".

He loves spending time with his family,

is learning much from his wise dog friends and guardians,

and is practicing some moves from Muhammad Ali - float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.
