A few days with Patty & Gigi

Just after the excitement of Disneyland, Aunt Patty and Gigi flew in for some adventures with the crew in sunny San Diego.  While June is lovingly dubbed "June Gloom"(May and June are notoriously gray with the marine layer overhead for at least part of the day), we were still able to get after it as much as one can with two little ones, and soak in some quality time together just hanging out.

It was such a joy getting to see lovely Aunt Patty, spend time with my amazing Mom, and introduce Lucia to another member of the family.
A visit together wouldn't be complete without delicious breakfasts out (here we are at Lockwood...a new favorite in Solana Beach).
where Harrison stole the show with his huge hazel peepers and a mustache of cream (he is now a famous member of Lockwood's fan club on Facebook).
The beach at Torrey Pines beckoned...and while it was gray, it was beautiful...
messy
 dazzling
 and fun.

We managed to get a few hours away from the bambinos and spent our time learning how to stand up paddle board
followed by a little bubbly at Torrey Pines.
Thanks Patty and Mom for a wonderful few days and a few sleepless nights (thanks Lucia!).

Disneyland!

The pure magic and joy of Disneyland is a childhood memory that I hold dear, and this past weekend a new chapter was added to this history when we revisited the "happiest place on earth" with our children and Andy's parents.  It was incredible to experience this place through the eyes of our little ones, and even more special to be there with Gramps and Nana.

Harrison was such a trooper throughout the entire day...and made it through without any toddler meltdowns.

It was so hard to narrow down the photos, so here is a collection of moments throughout our day...

Mother's Day

I have been so wrapped up in life, that I have fallen behind in documenting it...so here are hopefully a series of posts of our latest adventures over the past few months...

Mother's Day was even richer than I could imagine this year with the addition of our baby girl, and I was so grateful to get to spend the day with my favorite family at the beach...and although I missed spending the day with our moms, they were there in spirit.

I am so blessed Harrison and Lucia chose me to be their Mom....to have an incredibly thoughtful and supportive husband who brings peace and clarity to some of the more challenging moments.... and for my wonderful Mom who I appreciate even more now that I'm a mother.

Motherhood continues to be an amazing journey that is...
