December to Remember

Family: Self Portraits December 7, 2009

This month flew by in the whirlwind of the holidays, but we so enjoyed a few more firsts: First celebration of Dad's birthday, Christmas and New Years Eve. Harrison spent days in fascination over the Christmas tree lights, his smiles turned into outbursts of laughter and the dogs found their kicks getting into dirty diapers (we have now invested in a closed lid garbage can).

I love my DUCKS

Thanksgiving in Bend

We spent the week of Thanksgiving in Bend...exploring trails, mountains and sipping on some of the world's best lattes (from Thump). Andy's parents made the trip out for a few days, and while they cuddled with their Grandson, Andy and I were able to sneak away for some fun adventures.

The dogs thanked us endlessly for their epic adventure along the Deschuttes River. Blue ran at least 1000 miles up and down the trail and attempted to swim in the icy waters. Max was content smelling all of the goods Eastern Oregon had to offer.

Another hike along the Deschuttes with the little bundle...Harrison is perfectly content in his awesome snowsuit.

The dogs crashed out in perfect harmony on the floor of our retro rental house.

Six Week Sumo Smiles

The first smiles and laughs emerge, pulling on the heart strings a little more. Harrison's personality is shining through with each passing day.

Check out Harrison at 6 weeks

The First Month with Harrison

The first month was spent relishing in and adjusting to our new role as parents. It was fascinating just observing Harrison take in his new world.

Here are some of our favorite photos from our first month together.

First Week Favorites

The first week at home with our family was rather surreal - spending each moment marveling over our incredible gift. Andy was a champion at taking care of Mom, Baby and everything else in between.

Here are some photos of us basking in the glorious sun drenched days following Harrison's birth...

Look how long I am!

Our friend Kacie (In The Moment Photography) visited during the first week together and took some beautiful shots of our little guy...
