A 7 month old baby girl

Dear Lucia,

Happy 7 month birthday sweet girl, and welcome home from our exciting adventure up North.  We spent this morning celebrating your latest development:  sitting up!  You so proudly sat for the first time unassisted, soaked in the view, marveled at your accomplishment,

and then happily cascaded back down to the earth.  

Harrison was there to provide much love and encouragement at this momentous milestone.  You are so lucky to have such an incredibly loving big brother....whose generous hugs sometimes cross the line from gentle to not so much.  

We then spent a glorious afternoon at the beach where you soaked in the sea air and practiced your new found skill while Harrison built and destroyed many magical sand castles.  Your adorable face glowed while you explored the beach from your new upright position.   

Your rather loud (some could say ear piercing) expressions and contagious grin continue to warm our hearts, and we can't help

but to squeeze you at every chance we get!

Your favorite food this month is sweet potatoes.   

Fortunately you love to eat them as much as my sous chef and I love whipping them up,

resulting in a happy mama, happy little boy, happy baby girl, and a happily stocked refrigerator.

To another beautiful month together...we love you to the moon and beyond.
