Lucia at six weeks: she smiles with her whole being, highlighting an adorable dimple in her cheek and forcing even a stoic onlooker to return her toothless smile. These precious moments are the perfect remedy to a tough day, allowing the challenging moments to melt away instantly.
This week Lucia was so excited to meet her Grandad after his return from Norway and Sweden on a rail biking adventure.
Both Lucia and Harrison loved listening to "GranGran's" tales of high adventure on the Norwegian railways and getting to spend some quality time sharing their new home with him.
We spent the rest of the week relaxing on the patio,
goofing around,
eating crepes,
adoring sweet baby feet,
and visiting my new favorite market that we discovered close by our house.
In the land of endless summer, it was so refreshing to find a large assortment of lovely Fall produce in fiery shades, beautifully arranged and begging to be scooped up and taken home.
Harrison loved checking out the colorful bins of vegetables,
and I found a gorgeous Cinderella pumpkin fit for a fairy tale.
Harrison talked Grandad into getting him this precious little pumpkin,
and we walked out with a bag full of heirloom tomatoes, summer corn, peppers, lettuce and pumpkins.
We also picked up these lovely succulents and spent a perfect afternoon planting.
Lucia discovered a friendship with a mermaid,
enjoyed being cuddled,
and was completely exhausted by the end of her sixth week.
